Meet Our Yoga Instructors

  • Jenn Lauama

Over 8 years ago I walked into my first vinyasa yoga class, I can still remember the nerves, I sought out the practice for the physical, I was looking to improve my flexibility and a coach recommended it to me. I started with 1 class a week but, within months I started to crave more. Soon I was up to 2 classes, then 3, then 4 ... The idea of  "yoga" didn't really click until years into my practice. I was laying in a hospital bed, undergoing a medical procedure when the nurse, at the head of my bed, said "that's right honey, keep breathing". Without even realizing it, I was practicing my ujjayi breathing. I was able to bring the breath practice off of my mat and with me into that hospital bed. It was in that moment that I realized the yoga was in me, that it infiltrated my subconscious and it had and continues to improve my overall wellbeing.
